Preflight Checks

When I first start out from a stop I go through a mental list of things in order to prepare for being behind the wheel for a long period of time.

Getting off and on the highway takes up valuable time and a lot more than you would think. So I do what I can avoid unecessary stops by having everything in reach, having everything set ahead of time so I don’t need to pull over to fiddle with things (fiddling + driving == bad), and being comfortable so I need to stretch less and also don’t get fatigued as fast.

The extra minute or two that I burn before I start driving saves countless others from the stops I avoid later.
